Two Vehicle Accident in Town of Rosendale

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials tell us a 55-year-old Waupun man was seriously injured yesterday when he lost control of his SUV, crossed over the centerline on State Highway 26 in the Town of Rosendale and struck the side of a semi.

The SUV then left the roadway and hit a power pole on the side of the road. ThedaStar helicopter transported the Waupun man for medical treatment. The semi-truck and trailer sustained damage to the driver’s side, but the truck driver was not injured.

The crash near Olden Road was reported at 11:48 Tuesday morning. Highway 26 was completely closed for about 30 minutes while the medical helicopter landed and emergency responders worked at the scene.

Assisting at the scene were the Rosendale Fire Department, Rosendale First Responders, Ripon Guardian Ambulance, the State Patrol, ThedaStar helicopter and Alliant Energy.
