WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Police in Winneconne say officers have been keeping an extra eye on a suspected drug house by doing extra patrols in the area.
The registered owner of a vehicle parked outside the residence had an active warrant out for his arrest. Last Thursday an on-duty patrol officer saw the vehicle driving on East Main Street and conducted a traffic stop.
The vehicle’s owner, who is not from the Winneconne area, was arrested on his warrant. His female passenger, a Winneconne resident, was detained while a search of the vehicle was conducted.
As a result, cocaine, ketamine, psilocybin, a vast array of marijuana products, numerous forms of drug paraphernalia and a large amount of U.S. currency were seized.
The two claimed they were on their way to Chicago to hand out pamphlets for a work function. Both were booked into the Winnebago County Jail. Charges were forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
