
RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- According to the state’s Department of Transportation, Fond du Lac County finished 2025 with 11 traffic-related deaths compared to 12 in 2024. That matched the county’s five-year average.
Green Lake County had 3 fatal accidents up by one from the previous year. Dodge County had four fewer deaths with 13 down from 17 in 2024. Waupaca County had 6 more deaths last year with 9 compared to 3 in 2024.
Waushara County finished with 5 deaths up from 3 the previous year. Winnebago County had a dozen deaths down from 14 in 2024.
Overall, the state saw 545 deaths on its highways and roads in 2025 down from 576 in 2024. Meanwhile Milwaukee County had the tragic distinction of checking in with the first death on Wisconsin roads in 2026.
